
Miners Sweep Lady Flames, 3-0

LYNCHBURG, Va. - UTEP earned a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) sweep over Liberty on Saturday at Liberty Arena, as the Miners went 2-0 this weekend in Lynchburg.
UTEP improves to 24-4 overall and 14-2 in Conference USA matches, as the Miners currently sit second in CUSA standings. The Lady Flames (13-15, 7-9) entered the day tied with Middle Tennessee for sixth in conference standings.
Notable Numbers
Liberty heads to Bowling Green, Ky., to close out the regular-season schedule with two matches at defending Conference USA champion Western Kentucky. Next week's matches will take place on Thursday and Friday.

- Ema Uskokovic finished the match tied with Liberty's Kate Gammer, scoring 14 kills. Uskokovic added five blocks. Kaya Weaver posted eight kills and six blocks, while Torrance Lovesee totaled seven kills and three aces. Kalia Kohler recorded 23 assists and three aces.
- Gammer scored 14 kills at a .357 clip while adding three blocks. Charli Crowson dished out a match-high 27 assists, while Erica Lowery collected a match-best 12 digs. Madison Blane led Liberty with four blocks.
- The Miners served up three aces during an 8-3 run to start the match. UTEP raced to a 25-18 victory in set one, totaling six aces in the session.
- UTEP outhit Liberty .538-.255 in the second set, winning 25-22 and the Miners went on to earn the sweep.
- UTEP has won all five matches in the all-time volleyball series with Liberty, including all three which have taken place inside Liberty Arena.
- Liberty is now 7-3 in matches played on Saturday this season.
- Gammer is now in 12th place all-time at Liberty with 1,174 career kills. She passed Becky Rudnick (2001-04) today.
