LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty posted a resounding 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-19) sweep of the visiting North Alabama Lions, Thursday at Liberty Arena.
The Lady Flames (7-4) extended their winning streak to three matches, as Liberty is 4-1 in its last five matches. North Alabama (10-2) opened the year with 10 straight wins before being swept at Florida State on Monday and at Liberty tonight.
Liberty and North Alabama will meet again tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The Lady Flames and Lions complete their two-match series tomorrow, with first serve set for 5 p.m. at Liberty Arena.
The Lady Flames (7-4) extended their winning streak to three matches, as Liberty is 4-1 in its last five matches. North Alabama (10-2) opened the year with 10 straight wins before being swept at Florida State on Monday and at Liberty tonight.

- Liberty outhit UNA .398-.126 for the match, with the Lady Flames holding significant advantages in kills (48-26), assists (45-25), aces (9-4), digs (51-43 and blocks (7-3).
- Paige Overcash scored a match-high 15 kills at a .394 pace for the Lady Flames, while Jenna Otts followed with 10 kills and hit .600. Layla Collins hit .500 with seven kills. Alison Bierwagen posted her third straight double-double, with 21 assists and 11 digs. Laney Daniell totaled six kills, five aces and three blocks, while Melis Ural collected 12 digs.
- Dylann Garner led UNA with eight kills, while Kinslee McGowan registered a match-high 22 assists and 10 digs. Ava Martindale tied for the match high with 12 digs.
- Liberty quickly built a 10-point lead in set one, 12-2, and never looked back, winning the opening session 25-13.
