
Engle Named to 2024 CUSA All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty's Halle Engle has been selected to the 2024 Conference USA All-Academic team, the conference announced Friday. Engle has excelled on the pitch and in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA in her major of exercise science: therapeutic science.
The Mechanicsburg, PA. receives her first All-Academic team selection. The forward received the 2023 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal and was named to the Atlantic Sun Academic Honor Roll in 2022.
Engle has starred on the field currently leading the Lady Flames with 11 goals and 25 points this season (three assists). The forward is third in the country with six game-winning goals. Liberty is 8-0 when Engle scores the game-winning goal. She has been named the CUSA Offensive Player of the Week twice this season on Sept. 10 and Oct. 29.
The redshirt sophomore leads a Liberty attack that ranks second in CUSA with 36 goals and 103 points. Liberty leads CUSA with 15.28 shots per game with Engle ranking second in the league with 3.22 shots per game.
Liberty (13-1-5, 5-1-2) and Engle conclude their regular season later tonight hosting Kennesaw State (3-9-4, 2-3-3 CUSA) at 6 p.m. from Osborne Stadium. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+.
