
Liberty Plays to a Scoreless Draw at Western Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Liberty picked up a crucial point in the Conference USA standings, earning a 0-0 draw at Western Kentucky. The Lady Flames (12-1-4, 4-1-2 CUSA) extend their unbeaten streak in CUSA play to five games with the result against the Hilltoppers (3-7-4, 1-2-4 CUSA).
The Lady Flames' attack stayed persistent throughout, peppering 17 total shots with nine in the first half and eight in the second half. Forward Ivy Garner tallied a game-high five shots followed by Halle Engle with three.
Liberty's defense, highlighted by freshman Sabrina Marks making her first career start, recorded its ninth shutout of the season. Liberty held WKU to five shots total and just a single attempt in the second half. Marks and the Liberty back-line nearly all played a full 90 minutes after Marks was subbed for a last-minute corner opportunity.
Goalkeeper Peyton Huber made her eighth start of the season and played just her second full 90-minute game. She recorded shutouts in both contests.
