
Liberty Claims 190-117 Senior Day Victory Over Campbell

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Liberty swimming & diving team earned a 190-117 victory over Campbell in a two-day meet which wrapped up on Saturday at Liberty Natatorium
Liberty concludes its regular season with a 5-1 record, while Campbell falls to 2-4 on the season.
The Lady Flames won both meetings with the Camels this season, including a 141-112 win two weeks ago in Buies Creek, N.C.
Liberty Event Winners
The Lady Flames won each of the last five CCSA Championships. Liberty will look to win its sixth straight conference title, competing at the ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships, which will be held Feb. 21-24 at Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

- For the meet, Liberty won 11 individual events and three relays, while Campbell won the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 free relay.
- With the outcome decided, Liberty contested the final three events as exhibitions.
- Liberty got individual event victories from six different swimmers at this weekend's meet, including two each from Kamryn Cannings (100 butterfly, 200 butterfly), Heather Gardner (100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke), Grace Isaacs (200 IM, 400 IM), Shelby Kahn (200 free, 500 free) and Abbie Shaw (100 back, 200 back).
- Cannings and Kahn have both won multiple events at every one of Liberty's dual meets at which they have competed so far this season.
- Liberty's divers competed on one-meter in an intrasquad scrimmage. Meagan Tuohy scored 290.18, followed by Maddie Freece (274.80) and Mary Herndon (267.15).
- In today's session, the Lady Flames went 1-2-3 in the 1000 freestyle (Eden Troxell, Isabelle Gomez, Grace Shaw), 200 freestyle (Shelby Kahn, Kate Baker, Kaycee Cannings), 100 breaststroke (Heather Gardner, Jamyson Robb, Alexis Plogger) and 400 IM (Grace Isaacs, Kate Baker, Emmy Gallion).
- Only one event was decided by less than one second today. Campbell won the 200 free relay in 1:36.18, while Liberty finished second in 1:37.17.
- Liberty honored its 10 seniors with a premeet ceremony this morning.
- The Lady Flames are 19-2 all-time in dual meets at Liberty Natatorium.
- Liberty holds a 23-2 all-time record against Campbell in swimming & diving, with the Lady Flames winning each of the last 23 meetings. Campell is Liberty's most-frequent opponent in program history.
- A charter member of the CCSA in 2007-08, Campbell is in its first season as a member of the CAA.
