Lady Flames Lead Campbell 118-49 After Day 1

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Liberty holds a 118-49 lead over the visiting Campbell Fighting Camels after day one of this weekend's dual meet, Friday at Liberty Natatorium.
This is Senior Weekend for the Lady Flames, as they are celebrating their 10 seniors.

The Lady Flames will honor their 10 seniors with a senior day ceremony tomorrow prior to the beginning of events at 11 a.m. Tomorrow's session will be aired live on ESPN+, with Jason Prill calling in the action.

- 200 medley relay – 1:44.18 (Abbie Shaw; Heather Gardner; Kamryn Cannings; Sydney Stricklin)
- Jr. Shelby Kahn – 500 freestyle (5:03.79)
- Sr. Heather Gardner – 200 breaststroke (2:21.82)
- Fr. Kamryn Cannings – 200 butterfly (2:05.25)
- Sr. Abbie Shaw – 100 backstroke (55.26)
- Jr. Grace Isaacs – 400 IM (4:32.93)
- 400 freestyle relay – 3:32.22 (Kamryn Cannings – 52.32; Abbie Shaw – 53.55; Sydney Stricklin – 53.38; Shelby Kahn – 52.97)
- On the evening, Liberty won five individual events and both relays. Campbell's Meredith Ashburn won both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle for the Camels' lone victories.
- The Lady Flames earned 1-2-3 finishes in the 500 freestyle (Shelby Kahn, Eden Troxell, Grace Shaw), 200 breaststroke (Heather Gardner, Genna Joyce, Jamyson Robb), 200 fly (Kamryn Cannings, Emily Harstad, Kate Baker) and 100 backstroke (Abbie Shaw, Sydney Houtz, Malia Francis).
- Liberty's divers competed on three-meter in an intrasquad scrimmage. Chloe LaCount scored 293.10, followed by Meagan Tuohy (267.75) and Grace Gooding (265.35).
- Liberty got individual event victories from five different swimmers, Shelby Kahn (500 free), Heather Gardner (200 breaststroke), Kamryn Cannings (200 butterfly), Abbie Shaw (100 backstroke) and Grace Isaacs (400 IM).
- In the closest event of the evening, Ashburn edged out Liberty's Sydney Stricklin by 0.05 seconds (52.80 to 52.85) to win the 100 freestyle.
Historically Speaking
- Liberty holds a 22-2 all-time record against Campbell in swimming & diving, with the Lady Flames winning each of the last 22 meetings. Campell is Liberty's most-frequent opponent in program history.
- A charter member of the CCSA in 2007-08, Campbell is in its first season as a member of the CAA.
