Liberty Divers Compete Well During Day 2 of ECU Meet

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Chloe LaCount's third-place finish on one-meter highlighted Liberty's participation in a diving-only meet against East Carolina, Saturday at Liberty Natatorium.
With Liberty's swimmers competing at a pair of schools (Gardner-Webb, Campbell) this weekend which do not have divers, the Lady Flames' divers hosted ECU's diving contingent this weekend.

Liberty's swimming & diving team will next compete at VMI next Saturday at 11 a.m., competing in the VMI Aquatic Center in Lexington, Va., for the first time.

- So. Mary Herndon – One-meter (6) (9th place in 227.85)
- So. Elizabeth Mumau – One-meter (6) (11th place in 183.68)
- Jr. Sarah Simpson – One-meter (6) (12th place in 181.28)
- ECU claimed victory in all three diving events this weekend, with ECU's Frida Zuniga Guzman winning the one-meter springboard today with an NCAA Zone-qualifying score of 284.55. Zuniga Guzman won three-meter last night, while Flanary Patterson won platform diving yesterday with 189.15 points.
- Liberty took third place in one-meter, with Chloe LaCount scoring 242.85 points.
- Last night, Lady Flames claimed the second (Tuohy), third (Herndon) and fourth (Freece) spots in three-meter diving and second (Mumau) on platform.
- Liberty and ECU have squared off in diving each of the last three seasons.
