Betty Chancellor Classic Finalizes Liberty Women’s Hoops Schedule

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty has learned its final three opponents for the upcoming 2023-24 season with the announcement of the Betty Chancellor Classic schedule. The Thanksgiving weekend event in Katy, Texas will pit the Lady Flames against 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Gonzaga (Nov. 24), Louisville (Nov. 25) and Alabama (Nov. 26).
The four-team event will take place at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas. It will mark Liberty's second visit to the Lone Star State during the month of November, following a road swing to Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 10) and Texas (Nov. 12).
Gonzaga, Louisville and Alabama all won 20+ games and made the NCAA Tournament last season, making it 13 20-win teams and eight NCAA qualifiers Liberty is scheduled to face in 2023-24.
The Lady Flames will face Gonzaga for the first time in program history.
Liberty will tip off its first season as a Conference USA member exactly two months from today (Nov. 6), when it hosts Frostburg at Liberty Arena at 3 p.m.
