
Liberty Rolls Past Bryant 10-3 in Game 2 to Sweep Twin Bill

The Liberty Flames jumped out to an 8-1 lead after three innings of play and never looked back, sailing past the Bryant Bulldogs 10-3 in game two of a doubleheader to sweep the twin bill, Saturday at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
Third baseman Cam Foster belted a three-run home run and first baseman Cole Hertzler hit a two-run home run in the first inning as Liberty took a 5-1 advantage.
Foster also had an RBI double in the contest to finish the game with a season-high four RBI and scored twice. Right fielder Camden Troyer joined Foster with two hits and scored twice in the contest.
Liberty’s Nick Moran records the first victory of his collegiate career. The sophomore allowed one run on six hits over a career-high six innings. The left-hander stuck out a career-high nine and walked one. He retired 13 Bulldogs in a row at one point in the contest.
With the win, Liberty extends its winning streak to four games. The Flames move to 6-4 on the year. Bryant drops to 1-7 on the season.
