Flames Walk Off Governors in 10th 6-5

Liberty second baseman Nathan Keeter's two-out single plated center fielder Jaylen Guy in the bottom of the 10th to give the Flames a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Austin Peay Governors, Sunday afternoon at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
With the win, the Flames take the ASUN series between the two teams, two games to one.
Liberty rallied for the victory in the 10th inning. With two outs, Guy reached on a fielding error and moved into scoring position when left fielder Kane Kepley walked. Keeter followed by working a 3-1 count before ripping a single back through the middle to plate Guy for the victory.
The Flames erased a 4-2 Austin Peay advantage with three runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 5-4 lead, only to see the pesky Governors push across a run on a Liberty error in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings.
Liberty third baseman Cam Foster hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, his fourth of the year, to cut Austin Peay's advantage to 4-2.
The Flames even their ASUN record at 3-3, improving to 11-12 overall. The Governors fall to 3-3 in the conference and 9-14 overall.
