• The Liberty Flames will begin a five-game road trip with a meeting with the NC State Wolfpack at Doak Field at Dail Park on Tuesday. The Flames will then travel to Bowling Green, Ky., to face the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at Nick Denes Stadium in a CUSA three-game series on the weekend.
• Liberty comes into the week off a sweep of its three-game series against the FIU Panthers in CUSA play this past weekend at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium to run its record to 18-9 overall and 6-3 CUSA on the year. The Flames are 5-2 over their last seven games.

Liberty Racks Up Strikeouts
• Liberty pitching has combined to strike out 147 batters over the last 15 games. The Flames are averaging 10.1 batters struck out per nine innings during the stretch.Â
• The Liberty mound staff has reached double-digits in strikeouts in eight of the 15 games.
• Leading the way for the Flames are starting pitchers Ben Blair and Bradley Zayac. The pair is second and third in CUSA in strikeouts. Blair, who leads Conference USA with 59 strikeouts, is seventh nationally in punchouts. Meanwhile, Zayac is fifth in the conference with 40 strikeouts.
• Liberty enters the week 27th in the nation with a 2.71 strikeout-to-walk ratio.  Blair enters the week fifth in the country with a 14.75 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Barone Breaks Out
• Nick Barone has had quite the month of March. The left fielder has hit a team-leading .354 to raise his batting average to 25 points over the 18 games in the month, entering Tuesday's contest at NC State.Â
•  Barone has also driven 14 runs to move his total to 17 and scored 17 to up his total to 21 on the season.
• The left fielder leads the Flames with six multi-hit games, including three three-hit contests
 • Barone has gone 14-for-14 in stolen bases during March and is now tied for the CUSA lead with 15.Â
Campos Comes Through
• Liberty center fielder Josh Campos has been a major run producer over the past 16 games since his three-hit game with a grand slam in an 8-0 win at High Point on March 10. The transfer from Florence-Darlington Tech has driven in a team-leading 14 RBIs and also scored a team-high 15 runs.
• He has hit all five of his team-leading five home runs during the span, including two at Kennesaw State on March 20 and 21. On March 21, his solo home run leading off the 10th propelled the Flames to a 2-0 victory.
