Behind a strong defensive effort, the Liberty Flames tied the No. 20 Maryland Terrapins 1-1, Sunday evening at Ludwig Stadium.

Turning Point
While not limiting Maryland shot attempts, the Liberty defense allowed the Terrapins just six shots on goal throughout the 90 minutes of play. The final shot of the contest for either team came during the 86th minute off the foot of Maryland’s Stefan Copetti, who had four shots in the match, but only two on goal. The low shot towards the center of the Liberty goal was corralled by Cordero to keep the game tied at 1-1.
