No. 16 Liberty will put its unbeaten BIG EAST record on the line when it faces Providence on the road, Friday afternoon.
Game time is 2 p.m. at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. This is Liberty’s first trip to Rhode Island in nearly four years. The Lady Flames defeated the Friars 4-0 in their most recent match in Providence (Oct. 26, 2018).
The 16th-ranked Lady Flames (9-6) are currently atop the BIG EAST standings at 5-0 entering the second-to-last weekend of the regular season. The Friars (5-10) sit at 2-3 in league play and in fifth place in the standings. Liberty (5-0) is trailed by No. 11 Connecticut (4-1), No. 14 Old Dominion (4-1) and Temple (3-2).
Liberty fell 2-1 to No. 7 Virginia, Tuesday at the Liberty Field Hockey. Providence lost 4-2 at VCU in its most recent match, last Sunday.

• A win on Friday would give the Lady Flames their fifth straight year of 10 or more wins. Liberty is 65-26 since the beginning of the 2018 season.
• Liberty ranks inside the top five nationally six different categories: shutouts per game (No. 1, 0.60), assists per game (No. 1, 3.60), points per game (No. 3, 11.07), goals per game (No. 4, 3.73), scoring average (No. 4, 3.70) and scoring margin (No. 4, 2.57).
• All nine Liberty victories this fall have been by shutout. In those nine games, the Lady Flames have outscored their opponents 50-0.
