
Liberty Rolls Past Radford 3-0 for 1st Win of the Season

Noah Holmes scored two goals and the Liberty Flames used a solid defensive effort to record their first victory and shutout of the season, downing the Radford Highlanders 3-0, Saturday evening at Cupp Stadium.
Holmes netted his second and third goals of the season in the victory, scoring a goal in each half. Freshman midfielder Jarrod McKechnie scored late in the first half, as the Flames lead 2-0 at halftime.
Meanwhile, Liberty kept possession throughout the game, not allowing a shot on goal by the host Highlanders during the contest.
Liberty moves to 1-3 on the year. Radford falls to 1-2.
