The Elon Phoenix scored in the 106th minute to down the Liberty Flames 1-0 in double overtime at Rudd Field.
A scoreless, defensive contest midway through the game’s second overtime, the host Phoenix found the golden goal for the victory. Midfielder Jeppe Jordoson found forward Jack Edwards for a shot which found the top of the goal for the 1-0 win.
Liberty drops to 0-2. Elon moves to 2-0.
