- Megan Johnson (3-2) earned the win, striking out one and walking one while allowing three hits in 6 1/3 innings pitched. Karlie Keeney picked up her second save of the season, fanning both batters she faced.

Turning Point
- After scoring in the first inning in each of its last four games, Liberty's offense took a while to get going. Via was hit by a pitch to start the bottom of the third and went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Emily Sweat. A groundout by Autumn Bishop sent Via home with the first run of the game.
- Liberty added insurance runs in the sixth, as Canetto and Blake Gibson led off with back-to-back singles and a fielder's choice loaded the bases. Via came through with a two-out, two-run single to push the lead to 3-0.
- Johnson cruised through the first six innings, allowing just one hit. Emma Broadfoot led off the seventh with a single, and a one-out double by Georgia Land put runners on second and third. Keeney then entered the circle, nailing down the save with back-to-back strikeouts.
Beyond the Box Score
- Liberty now leads the all-time series against North Alabama, 4-2. In the last three-game series between these two teams, in 2019, both teams scored just three runs each as UNA won the series 2-1 in Florence, Ala. This year, Liberty outscored UNA 18-1.

- Madison Via needs one more run scored to become the 19th player in program history with 100 or more career runs.
- Liberty recorded four sacrifice bunts this afternoon, the most sacrifice bunts for the Lady Flames since registering four against Ohio on May 18, 2017.
- This was the 20th conference home series in Liberty Softball Stadium history, and the Lady Flames are now 17-3 at home in conference series since the facility opened in 2015. This was also the 10th home 3-0 sweep in Liberty Softball Stadium history. Liberty is 46-14 all-time in conference games at Liberty Softball Stadium.
- Overall, Liberty is 14-3 at home this season and 30-3 in its last 33 home games.
