The Liberty Flames defeated the Lipscomb Bisons 5-4 to complete a sweep of the three-game ASUN series, Sunday afternoon at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
Designated hitter Brady Gulakowski hit his second home run of the season and drove in two runs for the Flames. Right-hander Trey Gibson allowed one run on three hits over the first 5 2/3 innings to record the victory.
Liberty moves to 21-8 overall and 8-1 in the ASUN. Lipscomb drops to 11-16 overall and 4-8 in conference play.

Turning Point
After cutting the Liberty advantage to 5-3 on a two-run home run by Adams, Lipscomb put runners on second and third with one out in the top of the ninth. Next batter Carter Smith sent a grounder to the right side of the infield which appeared it way go through for a single. Flames second baseman Will Wagner slid to field the ball and then threw out Smith for the second out of the inning. With the tying run on third base, Liberty pitcher Mason Meyer then got center fielder Maddux Houghton to bounce out to third baseman Trey McDyre to end the game and give the Flames the 5-4 victory.

- Liberty picks up its third sweep of the year. The Flames swept UCF in Orlando, Fla., March 5-7 and North Alabama at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, March 12-14.
- Liberty remains unbeaten at home in 2021, pushing its record to 13-0. The Flames have won 15 straight contests at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, dating back to last season. It is currently the third longest home winning streak in the country.
- Betts went 6-for-10 (.600), walked three times and scored five runs in the three-game series. - Liberty reliever Landon Riley pitched a scoreless inning of relief, Sunday. Riley has yet to allow a run in 12 appearances (13 IP) this season.
