Liberty sealed a doubleheader sweep of North Alabama, taking game two 8-0 in five innings on Saturday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
Liberty (25-12, 6-2 ASUN) runs its winning streak to four games, while North Alabama's (17-13, 5-6) losing streak has reached four contests. This was Liberty's 20th home conference series all-time at Liberty Softball Stadium, and the Lady Flames have won 17 out of those 20 series.

- Liberty outhit UNA 10-2 in game two, while the Lady Flames committed one error. During today's doubleheader, the Lady Flames outscored the Lions 15-1 and outhit them 19-5.
- Liberty posted its eighth shutout of the season and eighth run-rule win of the campaign.
- Karlie Keeney (9-4) tossed a two-hit shutout, her third shutout of the season. She struck out three and walked one. Keeney also had a sacrifice fly as a hitter, becoming the first Liberty pitcher since Terra Lowe on Feb. 25, 2006 against UMBC to drive in a run during a game in which she also pitched a shutout.
- Megan Garst (7-8), the 2019 ASUN Pitcher of the Year, allowed eight runs on 10 hits, walking three and striking out three in 4 2/3 innings pitched.
- Kara Canetto batted 2-for-3 with a double on stolen base, one RBI and one run scored. Savannah Channell batted 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Emily Sweat batted 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Madison Via went 1-for-1 with a homer, three RBI, two walks and two runs scored.
Turning Point
- Liberty jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as the first three Lady Flames all got hits. Keeney's sacrifice fly made it 2-0 before Garst got out of the inning.
- The Lady Flames added four runs in the third and two in the fifth to pull away for the run-rule victory.
Beyond the Box Score
- Liberty now leads the all-time series against North Alabama, 3-2. In the last three-game series between these two teams, in 2019, both teams scored just three runs each as UNA won the series 2-1 in Florence, Ala.
- Liberty's eight run-rule victories are its most since winning nine games by run-rule during the 2018 season.
