Liberty and Connecticut will both put their unbeaten records to the test when they square off this weekend in Philadelphia.
The Lady Flames, who are 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the BIG EAST, will take on the Huskies (3-0, 2-0 BIG EAST) in two neutral site games at Temple's Howarth Field. Game one will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday. Sunday's game two will get started at 2:30 p.m.
Liberty is coming off two victories over Old Dominion (4-3, 4-2 BIG EAST) at the Liberty Field Hockey Field, last weekend. The Lady Flames topped the Monarchs 4-1 on Saturday and earned a 2-0 Sunday shutout. UConn defeated Providence 3-0 on the road in its most recent contest, last Sunday.
Liberty and UConn last met on Oct. 26, 2019 in Lynchburg. The No. 3-ranked Huskies bested the 17th-ranked Lady Flames 6-3 on that day. The Lady Flames and Huskies have competed against each other one other time at Howarth Field in the 2016 BIG EAST Field Hockey Championship title game (Nov. 6, 2016). No. 1 seed UConn edged No. 2 seed Liberty 3-2 in that contest.

No fans will be permitted at Howarth Field. Fans are encouraged to watch the video stream of both games on YouTube. Liberty Athletics Communications will also provide live stats for both matches.

Lady Flames News and Notes
• Liberty senior forward Jill Bolton earned her second NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season, Wednesday. Bolton was also named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for a second time on Monday.
• The Lady Flames have earned three NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week awards so far this spring, two for Bolton and one for Rhodes.
• In addition to Bolton's accolades, freshman goalkeeper Azul Iritxity Irigoyen received her second straight BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week recognition. Sophomore forward Daniella Rhodes garnered inclusion on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor as well.
• Liberty is No. 9 in the first NCAA Field Hockey RPI, which was unveiled on Wednesday. UConn is No. 19 in the RPI. The first national poll of the spring will be released next Wednesday.
• Bolton currently ranks No. 2 in the nation in the nation in assists per game (1.00) and No. 8 in goals per game (1.00). Rhodes is third in the country in goals per game (1.57) and points per game (3.71). Irixity Irigoyen checks in at No. 9 in the nation in save percentage (.842).
• The Lady Flames rank first in the country in points per game (11.00), second in goals per game (3.86) and assists per game (3.29), third in scoring average (3.86) and scoring margin (3.29) and eighth in goals-against-average (0.57).
• The Huskies are 7-0 all-time against Liberty, including a 4-0 record in BIG EAST regular season contests and a 3-0 mark in the BIG EAST Championship title game against the Lady Flames (2016, 2017 and 2018).
• Liberty has outscored its opposition 27-4 this season and holds advantages in penalty corners (46-21), shots per game (16.9-7.9) and shots on goal percentage (.661-.436).
