
Liberty Softball Earns 10 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards

The Liberty softball team had 10 student-athletes receive National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete awards.
The All-America Scholar-Athlete award was given to any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade-point average or higher during the 2014-15 academic year.
This year, a total of 5,493 softball players from seven different divisions, encompassing NCAA, NAIA, junior college and high school, received NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete mention. NCAA Division I led with 1,554 honorees.
Liberty's All-America Scholar-Athletes included senior Megan Robinson, redshirt junior Chandler Ball, juniors Alexis Albert, Katie Han, Blair Lawrence and Kassidy McCoy, redshirt sophomore Kenzie Friesen, and freshmen Jessica Cicerchia, Madi Clarke and Cassie Gingerich.
Robinson was named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete for the third time, while Friesen, Han, Lawrence and McCoy all earned their second All-America Scholar-Athlete mention.
