Avery Warley led all players in both points (17) and rebounds (12), helping Liberty extend its winning streak to six with a 66-33 victory over Radford, Friday evening at the Vines Center.
The Lady Flames will wrap up the 2009-10 regular season tonight at 7 p.m., when High Point visits the Vines Center. Starting point guard Amber Mays will be honored prior to tipoff, as part of Liberty's Senior Night ceremony.
News and Notes from Friday's Radford at Liberty game:
-- Liberty doubled up Radford both on the scoreboard (66-33) and in the rebounding column (46-23).
-- It was the Lady Flames' seventh consecutive victory over the Highlanders.
-- The win was Liberty's 200th all-time at the Vines Center. The Lady Flames are now 200-53 at home since the on-campus facility opened in November 1990.
-- The Lady Flames shot 51.0 percent (26-of-51) for the game, improving to 11-0 this season and 70-0 under head coach Carey Green when making at least half of their field goals.
-- Liberty limited Radford to 33 points, marking the sixth time the Lady Flames have held an opponent under 40 points this season.
-- The Lady Flames won despite shooting 0-of-4 from three-point range, improving to 10-1 this year when making zero or one three-pointers in a contest.
