The Liberty Flames Women's Soccer program's incoming freshman class has been ranked the No. 1 incoming class in the Big South Conference by the web site soccerbuzz.com. It is the first time the women's soccer program has achieved the No. 1 ranking.
Headlining the class is goalkeeper Karen Blocker, who is ranked among the top 150 recruits in the nation.
"This is an exciting accolade for our program!" declared interim head coach Adam Godwin. "We have spent a lot of time not only recruiting, but forming relationships within some of the leading clubs in the nation. The Lord is at work in this program, leading the top Christian soccer players to us. I can assure you that this class is just the beginning of an exciting future!"
