Former Wichita State standout Brylee Kelly began her time at Liberty during July 2024 and currently serves as an assistant volleyball coach.
A native of Monee, Ill., Kelly had a highly-successful career as an outside hitter for Wichita State. She finished her career with 1,157 career kills, ranking inside the top 10 in the Shockers’ career record book. Kelly was a unanimous first team AAC All-Conference selection during the fall 2021 campaign before adding another all-conference first team honor in 2022. Last fall, she became the first Wichita State volleyball player to be named AAC Preseason Player of the Year. Her career culminated last season, when she helped the Shockers post a 26-8 record and claim the NIVC title.
During her time at Wichita State, Kelly coordinated volunteer activities for the local community, including hosting clinics for local youth. She also led tours of athletics facilities for prospective student-athletes and their families. Kelly participated in Reading with the Shockers while at WSU.
In the spring of 2019, Kelly served as a club coach for the Shockwave Volleyball Club. She taught techniques and skills of the game to younger players while gaining valuable coaching experience. Throughout her time at Wichita State, Kelly volunteered with the Shockwave Volleyball Club.
Also a standout in the classroom, Kelly was a three-time member of the AAC All-Academic Team. She was also named to the AD Honor Roll on several occasions and received The American Weekly Honor Roll mention.
Kelly graduated from Wichita State in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration management and human resource management. In Dec. 2023, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree from WSU.
