Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University is the right place for me because I love the culture of the swim and dive team. I chose Liberty because I could be surrounded by like-minded people who are pursuing a relationship with Jesus.
Is there anything special you do premeet or postmeet and why?
I read scripture and listen to worship music, but try not to look at my phone or social media within an hour of competition.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents inspire me because they work hard and have always been supportive and encouraging. My parents have made sacrifices for me to be able to practice and compete so I look up to their character.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic accomplishment would be breaking the Liberty platform record at Conference as a freshman because I was coming back from an injury and was not sure if I was going to be able to compete. The conference meet during my sophomore year was memorable because I had a good time competing with our team.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is dinner because you can choose from a variety of foods. My favorite dinner is cubed steak, mashed potatoes, and homemade biscuits.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I check text messages first.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I like watching all kinds of movies and sports, especially college football and formula 1.
Do you have any current pets?
I have an American bulldog named Bessie and a cat named Charlotte.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
I am a big football fan, so Nick Chubb was one of my favorites athletes growing up.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My favorite possession is a necklace that my dad got me because it is simple and it has meaning behind it.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
One of Luke Combs' songs.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
I would like to travel all over the world.
