Kennon served as a team captain for the Lady Flames’ swim team from the 2011-12 through the 2013-14 seasons. Kennon has been swimming from the time she was five years old and teaching the sport of swimming, on a smaller scale, since her early teens. Her father, David Wakeley, has been her primary influence in regards to coaching style and stroke technique.
Kennon graduated from Liberty with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 2013. She then earned her MBA from Liberty in 2015.
She currently resides in Evington with her husband, Wade.
