Anthony Gugino assumed his role as Staff Athletic Trainer in Aug. 2021.
In his current role, he is responsible for injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the Liberty women’s lacrosse team.
During the 2021-22 school year, Gugino worked with the football, lacrosse, track & field, men’s tennis and women’s tennis programs at Liberty as well as with COVID-19 testing.
Gugino earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Marywood in May 2021. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human performance from Liberty, which he expects to complete in May 2023.
Originally from Brockport, N.Y., Gugino currently resides in Lynchburg.
