Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University was not a choice; it was a calling. I was heavily recruited throughout my junior year of high school. I was fortunate enough to visit several campuses during my recruitment, but nothing felt quite right. But from the first call I received from Coach Nina here at Liberty, things just fell into place. I enjoyed the conversation and her vision. Stepping onto campus felt like a dream. I enjoyed the facilities, the people, the amenities, and the unapologetic promotion of Christ. I immediately knew that Liberty University was the place for me!
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Pregame I listen to music, visualize my assignments and goals for the game, speak to my fellow defenders, and check on my goalie. I want to make sure that we are all locked in, loose, and prepared for our opponents. Postgame I eat, shower, and then get some sleep.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents have inspired me through their constant support and example of hard work, showing me the value of perseverance in both sports and life. My sisters push me to be a role model, reminding me to lead with kindness, integrity, and determination. My grandparents have encouraged me with their wisdom and faith, teaching me to stay grounded and grateful no matter the challenges I face.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Having the opportunity to represent USA at the Italy Cup in 2023. We played in a tournament in Lake Como, Italy against several different countries. My team, the USA AIST "Stars," won the tournament and was awarded the Gold Cup. I was able to travel throughout Italy with my best friend, Rachel Laurie, and play the game that I love.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
