Jackie Wolford joined the Liberty Lacrosse coaching staff for the 2026-27 academic year after spending the previous two seasons as a Graduate Assistant at Grand Valley State. She also coached club lacrosse with Lucky Lax from 2020-24.
Before entering coaching, Wolford enjoyed a standout four-year playing career at Kent State from 2021-24. She finished her career as the Golden Flashes' all-time leader in goals (197) and points (241), while also recording 44 assists, 92 draw controls, 64 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers across 68 games.
Wolford was named the 2023 MAC Player of the Year and 2021 MAC Freshman of the Year, while earning three First Team All-MAC selections. She also received two CSC Academic All-District honors, three Academic All-MAC selections and was named a Distinguished Scholar Athlete in 2022.
During her junior season, Wolford set Kent State program records with 69 goals and 82 points, helping lead the Golden Flashes to the best finish in program history at the time with a 10-8 record and 7-1 mark in MAC play. She followed that performance with 60 goals and a career-high 17 assists for 77 points as a senior.
At Grand Valley State, Wolford helped the Lakers capture the GLIAC title in both of her seasons on staff. In 2025, Grand Valley State posted a 16-3 record, went undefeated in conference play and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship. Across her two seasons, the Lakers led the conference with 520 combined goals.
A Columbus, Ohio, native, Wolford comes from a lacrosse family. Her father, Bill Wolford, is an Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame coach and former Ohio State player. Her brother played lacrosse at Bellarmine, while her sister competed at Fresno State.
