2011 (Sr.): Only competed in two indoor meets, high jumping 5-3 at both the Liberty Kickoff and Liberty Open … redshirted the outdoor season … made the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
2010 (Jr.): Tied for fourth place in the high jump at the Big South outdoor meet and finished fifth indoors … cleared 5-5 twice during the year, once indoors and once outdoors … won high jump titles at the Liberty Quad and Merrill Lynch Track Classic … included on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
Previous School: Attended South Plains College for two years, helping South Plains sweep the NJCAA indoor and outdoor team titles in 2009 … earned All-America honors with her third-place finish in the high jump at the 2008 NJCAA outdoor meet … in 2009, reached NJCAA nationals both indoors and outdoors in the high jump, placing fourth and sixth, respectively … Academic All-American in 2008.
Prep: Attended Trinity Christian School, where she holds the school high jump record at 5-7 … won the TAPPS 5A state high jump championship as a senior, after finishing as TAPPS 4A state runner-up each of the previous two years … helped Trinity Christian win a basketball state title as a junior and a track state championship as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Nathan and Carol Wheeler … younger brother Kyle is a freshman on the Liberty men's track & field team … business management major … birthday is on Feb. 21.
