LYNCHBURG, Va. – Two of Liberty's record breakers from the Florida Relays earned CUSA weekly awards on Tuesday. Markus White was named CUSA Men's Field Athlete of the Week, while Isabella Frattura collected CUSA Women's Freshman of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks.
A junior from Lynchburg, Va., White previously collected this honor on Jan. 20. He won the invite section of the Florida Relays men's long jump with a 25-10.25 leap, breaking his own program record of 25-8 from the 2025 CUSA Championship.
White ranks No. 6 on the NCAA national men's long jump list this season and tops the CUSA performance list by 20 inches.
Sparta, N.J., native Frattura has now broken the Liberty women's javelin record during back-to-back competitions to open her collegiate career. She took fourth place in the Florida Relays women's javelin competition with a mark of 166-1. That was superior to Frattura's 163-4 effort from the Virginia Opener on March 21.
The first 50-meter javelin thrower in program history, Frattura ranks No. 2 in CUSA and No. 33 nationally this year, including ninth among freshmen.
Liberty's decathletes and heptathletes will fly to Azusa, Calif., for the Bryan Clay Multis, Thursday and Friday. The rest of the team will head across town to the University of Lynchburg to compete in the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, Friday and Saturday.
