• The Liberty Flames will complete a four-game homestand by hosting the FIU Panthers for a three-game CUSA series at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium this weekend. Last year, Liberty won two of the three games between the two teams in Miami.
• Liberty comes off a 2-1 weekend at Kennesaw State. The Flames took the first two games of the series before falling to the Owls on Sunday in the series finale.

• Liberty pitching has combined to strike out 147 batters over the last 15 games. The Flames are averaging 9.9 batters struck out per nine innings during the stretch.Â
• The Liberty mound staff has reached double-digits in strikeouts in 10 of the 15 games and 15 of its 25 games this season.
• Leading the way for the Flames are starting pitchers Ben Blair and Bradley Zayac. Blair, who is second in Conference USA with 50 strikeouts, is 14th nationally in punchouts. Meanwhile, Zayac is fifth in the conference with 33 strikeouts.
Marsh Off to Good Start in 2026
• Liberty starting shortstop Tanner Marsh was the Flames' top returning offensive threat from the 2025 season and he has started 2026 by sparking the Liberty offense once again.
• The junior leads the Flames with a .333 batting average and runs with 20. He also tops Liberty with a .432 on-base percentage, 33 hits and 10 stolen bases.
• The infielder has had a 15-game hitting streak, the longest streak of his career earlier in the season and reached base in each of the first 18 games.
• On March 10, he posted his first four-hit game of the year in Liberty's 12-10 victory at UNCG.
• Marsh, along with right-handed pitcher Ben Blair, was named to the 2026 CUSA Preseason All-Conference Team.
• Marsh has started every game at shortstop for the Flames since joining the Liberty roster in 2024.Â
• Last season, the infielder hit .295 with 52 runs scored, 22 RBI, 11 doubles, and two home runs in 56 games.Â
• He also stole a team-high 18 bases and led the Flames with 21 multi-hit games.Â
• The Asheboro, N.C., native walked 32 times and posted a .378 on-base percentage.
• One of the top defenders in CUSA, Marsh had a .962 fielding percentage, committing nine errors in 236 chances at shortstop.  He finished third in the conference with 153 fielding assists.
Jaffe Provides a Spark
• Since his return to the lineup 12 games ago, designated hitter Jordan Jaffe has bolstered the Flames' lineup. Jaffe has hit a team-leading .346 with nine RBI and 12 runs scored.Â
• Hitting third in the Liberty batting order, Jaffe has had the second-most hits on the team with 16, two doubles and two home runs, his only home runs on the season.
• Jaffe has posted a .386 on-base percentage since his return.
Blair Named CUSA Pitcher of the Week for 3rd Time
• Liberty right-hander Ben Blair has been selected the CUSA Pitcher of the Week for March 23. It is the third time this season the junior has received the honor.
• On Friday, Blair pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits in Liberty's 2-0 win in 10 innings at Kennesaw State. He struck out eight and walked one. However, he did not figure in the decision. At one point during the outing, he retired nine consecutive batters (last out of the first to a two-out single in fourth).
• It was Blair's fourth straight game with eight or more strikeouts. The junior has posted a 3-1 record with a 1.53 ERA over 35 1/3 innings. In six starts, he has struck out 50 and walked four. Opponents are hitting .152 against him.
• Currently, he is 14th nationally with 50 strikeouts. His 12.50 strikeout-to-walk ratio is ninth in the country. In addition, the right-hander is fourth nationally with a 0.65 WHIP.
• Blair leads Conference USA in innings pitched, strikeout to walk ratio, WHIP and opponent batting average. He is second in ERA and strikeouts.
• Previously, Blair was named the CUSA Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 16 and March 2.  Â
