
Liberty Features Four on Preseason All-ASUN Team, Flames the Favorite to Repeat

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Four Lady Flames, Katie Colavito (Preseason Midfielder of the Year), Jenna Burrow, Madeleine Klunder and Ava Rajala were selected to the 2026 Atlantic Sun Preseason All-ASUN team, the conference announced on Thursday. Liberty was selected to finish first in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll with seven first-place votes.
Liberty looks to defend its first-ever conference championship title this season. The Lady Flames return the 2025 ASUN Midfielder of the Year (Colavito) and the ASUN Defensive Player of the Year (Burrow). Liberty returns all its starting defenders and midfielders from last season's title run.
The Lady Flames were picked as the Preseason ASUN favorites for the first time in program history. The team has been selected to finish in second place in five of the last six preseason coaches polls.
Liberty has at least four players selected to the Preseason All-Conference team for the second time in the ASUN (2022, 23). All four Lady Flames are being represented on the Preseason All-ASUN team for the first time.
The Lady Flames begin the season hosting last season's NCAA Championship foe, Johns Hopkins, on Feb. 7 at noon.
