- Liberty (8-8, 2-3 CUSA) will continue a three-game road swing with a Thursday visit to Western Kentucky (5-12, 1-5 CUSA).
- The Lady Flames lost their most recent contest 76-69 at Delaware on Saturday, snapping a three-game road winning streak. Liberty has now lost three straight CUSA games for the first time as a conference member.
- Liberty is 6-1 all-time against WKU, including 3-0 in Bowling Green. The Lady Flames have won four straight meetings over the Lady Toppers, but the average margin of victory has been only 6.3 ppg in those victories.Â
- Avery Mills paces the Lady Flames with 15.9 ppg and ranks No. 6 nationally with 3.13 triples per contest. She scored all 13 of her points within a 4:46 span of the second half the last time she faced WKU, helping Liberty overcome a 14-point deficit to win.
- Emmy Stout, Mills' high school teammate, has posted back-to-back 20-point games for the first time in her career. Her last visit to the Bluegrass State was a memorable one. Stout tallied a team-high 20 points during Liberty's near upset of Kentucky in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
- Liberty and WKU will both look to get back on track following slow starts to conference play. The two teams have combined to lose eight CUSA games this season, eclipsing their combined total of seven CUSA setbacks in 2024-25.
- Both teams return only one starter (Liberty's Elisabeth Aegisdottir and WKU's Zsofia Telegdy) from their most recent matchup in the 2024-25 regular-season finale (March 8, 2025).Â
- Liberty owns a 3-0 all-time record at E.A. Diddle Arena. It is one of five CUSA facilities where the Lady Flames have never lost a road game, also including Kennesaw State, New Mexico State, Sam Houston and UTEP.Â
- WKU is only Liberty's fourth opponent this season which has entered the game with a losing record. The Lady Flames are 2-1 in the previous three matchups with the one loss coming Saturday at Delaware.
- Liberty (7) and WKU (6) both feature a program-record number of international players on this year's roster. Each squad boasts a freshman from Turkey, including the Lady Flames' Zeynep Avci and the Lady Toppers' Elif Naz Dal.
- The Lady Flames and Lady Toppers have both been frequent participants in the NCAA Tournament, with WKU appearing 20 times and Liberty 18.Â
- Liberty has actually played better on the road (3-2 record) than it has at home (3-4) thus far in 2025-26.
- Sophomores Avery Mills (20.8 ppg, 19 three-pointers, 51.4 3FG%) and Emmy Stout (18.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 58.6 FG%) have both been effective during the Lady Flames' five road contests this season.
- The Lady Flames own a better road record (3-0) than home record (2-1) during their all-time series against WKU. Liberty has averaged 77.3 ppg during its three victories in Bowling Green.
- Road teams are 17-15 in CUSA action this season, entering Thursday's slate of games.
- Liberty has been successful during its first three years of CUSA membership, headlined by its regular-season and tournament titles in 2024-25.
- The Lady Flames are 34-11 versus CUSA foes over the last three seasons, including 29-10 in conference play, 5-1 in the CUSA Championship, 15-4 at home and 14-6 on the road.
- Liberty has faced three CUSA foes without suffering a loss over the past three years, including Kennesaw State (2-0), New Mexico State (6-0) and UTEP (5-0).Â
- The Lady Flames got off to their first 2-0 conference start as a CUSA member this season.
- However, Liberty has since lost three games in row. This is the first time the Lady Flames have dropped three consecutive CUSA contests since joining the league.
- JaKayla Thompson went off for a career-high 17 points during Liberty's last game, Saturday at Delaware. In the process, she became the ninth of the Lady Flames' 11 active players to record a double-digit outing this season. Only Maleah Alexander and Zeynep Avci have yet to do so in 2025-26.
- Meanwhile, a trio of Lady Flames (Claudia Acin, Avery Mills and Emmy Stout) have scored 20+ points in a contest this year.
