
Men’s Tennis Hosts Ten-Team Liberty Dual This Weekend

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty men's tennis prepares to host the Liberty dual beginning Friday and running through Sunday. The ten-team event includes competition from top programs in the region.
Including Liberty, participating teams consist of five programs from Virginia teams with Old Dominion, Virginia, VCU and William & Mary. Programs also competing include Charlotte, Elon, North Carolina Central, Penn and UNCW.
This will be the second event of the fall season for Liberty, but the first to include the full roster. The Flames sent three, Siwanat Auytayakul, Carl Roothman and Rodrigo Santiago Arraez, to compete at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., last weekend. Roothman led the Flames event with a 3-2 singles record, including advancing to the qualifying round of the tournament.

- Liberty will be debuting three athletes on the 2025-26 roster, including a pair of freshmen, Benjamin Sparks and Guy Vorwerk, along with transfer addition David Ekpenyong (Our Lady of the Lake (Texas)).
- The Flames return five athletes, including Siwanat Auytayakul, Ernst Gouws, Chase Robinson, Carl Roothman and Rodrigo Santiago Arraez.
- Liberty will be hosting the event for the seventh time in the past nine years. The tournament has gone under the names Liberty University Invitational and Liberty Fall Hidden Dual. Charlotte, Elon, ODU, Penn, Virginia and William & Mary will be attending the event for the second consecutive season.
