
Liberty to Host USI to Begin OVC Play

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Liberty Flames men's soccer team will open Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend, when it welcomes the Southern Indiana Eagles to Osborne Stadium on Saturday. Match time is scheduled for Noon.
Liberty will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to nationally-ranked UNCG at home last Friday and then No. 1-ranked Wake Forest on Monday. The Flames' contest at Wake Forest completed their 2025 non-conference schedule, as eight-year coach Kelly Findley's team enters the weekend with a 4-2-2 record.
Liberty and Southern Indiana (1-6-0) have met twice all-time, both in OVC action the past two years. The Flames hold a 1-0-1 advantage in the overall series. Liberty won last year's meeting between the squads 5-0 at Osborne Stadium on Oct. 20, 2024.
The two teams will meet twice this season in conference play. Liberty will visit USI on Oct. 9.

- Tyler Beck has played every minute in goal this season for the Flames. The sophomore has posted a 1.62 goals-against average and a .658 save percentage. He has three shutouts.
