ELON, N.C. – The Liberty women's tennis team began fall season with a strong outing at the Jimmy Powell Invitational hosted by Elon. Liberty collected an overall 7-6 singles record and a 4-2 doubles record.
The Lady Flames faced a mix of opponents including challengers from Elon, UNCG, Richmond and Virginia Tech.
Yoanna Radulova, who only played on day one of the event, went undefeated in two singles matches and a doubles match, playing with Maria Turchetto on Friday.
Freshman Aranai Martinez made her Liberty debut over the weekend. The Vigo, Spain, native earned a 2-1 singles mark and a 2-1 doubles record playing alongside Celina Joseph and Turchetto.
