
Liberty to Host No. 21 UNCG Friday

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Flames men's soccer team will host the No. 21-ranked UNCG Spartans on Friday at Osborne Stadium. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
UNCG will be the first nationally-ranked opponent the Flames will play this season. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons, who Liberty is scheduled to visit on Monday, are currently ranked No.1.
UNCG will be the first nationally ranked team Liberty has hosted at Osborne Stadium since facing No. 20 Coastal Carolina at home in 2014.
The Flames enter the match with an unbeaten record of 4-0-2, their longest unbeaten streak to open a season since starting the 2021 Spring season 5-0-1. The Spartans sport a 4-1-1 mark.
Liberty and UNCG have not met since 2002.

- Liberty goalkeeper Tyler Beck has played all 540 minutes in goal this season, posting a 0.50 goals-against average and a .870 save percentage. He has three shutouts.
