LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty field hockey program and head coach Nikki Parsley-Blocker have announced the addition of four more student-athletes to their 2025 signing class.
The four signees include Paris-Gail Isaacs, Maite Altamirano, Autumn Albright and Julieta Tornati. They are four of 13 new players to the program, joining the nine signees announced back in March.
Paris-Gail Isaacs (D/M – Johannesburg, South Africa/Beaulieu College)
Isaacs, a defender/midfielder, hails from Johannesburg, South Africa and brings a wealth of international experience to the table. She played at the 2024 Paris Olympics for her country and was the youngest member of that South African squad. Isaacs has been a member of the South African U21 national team as well.
"I am excited to start this new chapter at Liberty University, growing in my faith, building meaningful relationships and getting ready to play the game I love," Isaacs said.
Isaacs has competed for Morningside Country Club (2025), Beaulieu (2020-24), Shumbas Hockey Club (2018-19) and Intouch Hockey Club (2014-17). Isaacs and Shumbas Hockey Club won the Champs of Champs team, and she was named MVP of that event. With Intouch, she was the player of the year in 2017 and voted most promising player for two years.
Isaacs earned player of the year honors in 2023 and 2024 at Beaulieu College and was selected as the junior player of the year in 2022. In 2022, she competed in the Top 12 Schools Tournament, and in 2023, Isaacs was in the Top 24 Schools Tournament with Beaulieu. A multi-sport athlete, she also played soccer (2022-23) and tennis (2021-22) in high school and competed in swimming (2020).
Maite Altamirano (M – Buenos Aires, Argentina/Colegio San Ramon)
Altamirano is a midfielder who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She competed for the Argentinian U21 national team at the 2023 Junior Pan American Championship, which she says was an incredible honor to wear the national jersey for the first time and compete at a high international level while growing as a player and person.
"Joining Liberty is an amazing opportunity to grow both as a person and as an athlete," Altamirano stated. "I'm excited to learn from the people around me and to be a part and play for something bigger than myself and to work together in pursuit of the same goal."
Altamirano has competed for Club San Fernando since 2009. In 2021 and 2023, Altamirano helped her first division squad win the Metropolitan Tournament. In 2019, she guided her U16 team to the Metropolitan Tournament crown while serving as team captain.
Autumn Albright (D – Loysville, Pa./West Perry HS)
Albright is a defender who hails from Loysville, Pa. and will be one of six Pennsylvania natives on the 2025 squad. Albright and West Perry High School enjoyed considerable success in her four years, amassing a 75-19 record and winning a state title (senior year, first in school history), two county tournament titles (senior and junior year), three Mid Penn Colonial Division crowns (sophomore through senior year) and a District I Class 1A crown (senior year).
Individually, Albright racked up numerous honors throughout her career. As a senior, she earned these accolades: Colonial Division first team All-Star, PHSFHCA All-State Class A first team All-Star, All-Pennsylvania Region second team and NFHCA All-Pennsylvania second team. During her junior season, she was named a Colonial Division first team All-Star and PHSFHCA All-State Class A first team All-Star. Albright tallied over 100 points in her four years at West Perry High School.
"I am incredibly excited to join Liberty field hockey, not only to grow as an athlete but most importantly to deepen my faith and honor God alongside teammates and coaches who share that same goal," Albright said. "It is truly a blessing to be a part of a program that values both excellence and purpose. I cannot wait to see all that this team will accomplish."
During her sophomore campaign with the Mustangs, Albright was a Colonial Division first team All-Star honoree and PHSFHCA All-State Class A second team All-Star. As a freshman, she earned recognition as a Colonial Division second team All-Star. A multi-sport athlete at West Perry, Albright also competed in cross country (freshman and sophomore years), unified bocce ball (sophomore through senior years) and track & field (all four years).
Julieta Tornati (D/M – Buenos Aires, Argentina/ Instituto Nuestra Señora de las Nieves)
Tornati, a defender/midfielder, hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been in the training process for the Argentinian U21 team for the last two years and also played for the Buenos Aires U16 national team in 2022.
"I am really excited to join the team next season not only because they are a really good hockey team but also because they look like a family in which everyone takes care of each other. I want to be a part of that," Tornati said. "I will do my best every day in everything to contribute the best I can for the team."
Tornati competed at the club level for Club San Cirano, and prior to that, she was a member of Velez Sarsdfield Hockey. In 2023, she was named best player of her club and was the top scorer in the 2022 and 2023 seasons for her team.
