
Lady Flames Head West for Eugene Super Regional

After becoming the first team in the Super Regional era to knock off the national No. 1 seed in Regionals, first-time Super Regional participant Liberty (50-13) attempts to make its first Women's College World Series appearance. The Lady Flames will compete at No. 16 Oregon (51-8) in Super Regional action, Friday through Sunday, with the series winner heading to the Women's College World Series.

- The Lady Flames won the Bryan-College Station Regional, going 2-1 against No. 1 Texas A&M. Liberty scored five runs in the sixth inning in both wins (8-5 Saturday, 6-5 Sunday night). Oregon beat Stanford twice on Sunday, including in walk-off fashion at night to advance to Supers.
- Softball America Second Team All-American Rachel Roupe went 5-for-9 on Regional Championship Sunday, with three homers and nine RBI. She hit a grand slam in game one on Sunday against Texas A&M, and her sixth-inning three run blast (second homer of game) gave Liberty a 6-5 lead in the winner-take-all final. CUSA Pitcher of the Year Elena Escobar started all four games at Regionals, earning three wins, and Kaylan Yoder pitched the final 1 1/3 innings on Sunday night against Texas A&M to nail down the save and send Liberty to the Super Regional.
- Oregon (166) and Liberty (117) are ranked third and 12th, respectively in the nation in stolen bases. Oregon's Kai Luschar leads NCAA DI softball with 58 steals. Liberty's KK Madrey (50) is tied for second.
- Liberty's Regional foursome had the most combined wins (158) of any Regional, and this week's Eugene Super Regional has the most combined wins (101) of any Super Regional this year.
- Seven out of Liberty's nine regular starters bat .300 or better. KK Madrey hits .412 with a CUSA-leading 50 stolen bases. Rachel Roupe (.392) leads the CUSA with 18 doubles, 23 homers and 73 RBI. Oregon State transfers Paige Doerr (.348) and Savanah Whatley (.355) provide offensive punch. Savannah Woodard (.346, 10 HR, 45 RBI) has thrived in the leadoff spot. Brynn McManus (.332, 15 2B, 5 HR, 45 RBI) provides a power bat, while catcher Savannah Jessee (.301) hit a game-tying homer in the sixth inning of the winner-take-all final on Sunday at Texas A&M.
- 2025 CUSA Tournament MVP Elena Escobar is 25-3 with a 2.43 ERA and seven shutouts, going 3-0 at both the CUSA Championship and College Station Regional. Escobar has tossed a combined 755 pitches since the end of the regular season. Kaylan Yoder (9-5, 2.51) leads CUSA in opponents batting average (.199). Yoder and Paige Bachman (11-4, 2.73) were both named to the All-CUSA second team.
