
Liberty Softball Listed Top 25 in 3 National Polls

Holding a 16-4 record entering this week, the Liberty softball team remains in the national rankings.
The Lady Flames appeared at No. 22 in the Softball America Top 25 Poll yesterday. Liberty is ranked No. 25 in the D1Softball Top 25, moving back one position from last week. The team is listed No. 24 on the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, holding its spot from last Tuesday.
Liberty is listed among "others receiving votes" on the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Lady Flames have appeared in the Top 25 of at least one national poll in each of the last six releases (2024 postseason, 2025 preseason, weeks 1-4). That is the longest streak of consecutive Top 25 appearances in program history.
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA's Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the regular season.
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of National and Local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames went 4-1 last weekend, falling to No. 15 Virginia Tech before going 4-0 at the Liberty Softball Invitational. Liberty is 5-3 against Power Conference opponents this season and has a win over No. 12 Alabama to its credit.
Liberty will host James Madison this afternoon at 4 p.m., before opening Conference USA play with a home series against conference newcomer Kennesaw State, Friday through Sunday. Ā
