
Lady Flames Taken Down 4-0 at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Liberty women's tennis team (4-7) began a three-match road trip with a 4-0 defeat at Charlotte (10-2) on Friday afternoon.
The 49ers took the doubles point with decisive victories on courts three and one. No Liberty duo earned three games in doubles with court two finishing with Charlotte leading 5-2.
Charlotte continued rolling, winning three consecutive singles matches. The home team grabbed triumphs in the No. 6 and 1 singles match with the Lady Flames combining for four games in the losses. The 49ers' Pisca Abbas secured the match-winning fourth point in the No. 5 singles match, taking down Anika Lemus 6-2, 6-2.
The remaining three matches went unfinished. Liberty's Yu-Yun Chen secured a first set triumph over Amira Badawi, finishing up 6-4, 1-2.
