Liberty Welcomes 23 Teams to Five-Day ITA Atlantic Regional

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty women's tennis team is set to host the ITA Atlantic Regional at the Liberty Tennis Complex in Lynchburg, Va. The five-day event consists of 23 programs from the Atlantic Region.
Liberty will play its full current roster at the event. The tournament is the Flames' fourth event of the fall season, following the ITA All-American Championships, the Martha Thorne Invite and the ITA Women's Hall of Fame Invite.
The event begins with a singles qualifying round with athletes needing two victories to advance to the main draw. Athletes will compete in both singles and doubles throughout the event. All players are guaranteed at least two singles matches.
The finalists in both singles and doubles qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships later this fall.

- Liberty owns an overall 9-17 singles record and a 6-6 doubles mark in three events this fall.
- Aranai Martinez is the only Lady Flame with a winning singles record in two events this Fall.
- It was recently announced that Daniella O'Neill and the pair of Maria Turchetto and Yoanna Radulova will be representing Conference USA at the ITA Conference Master's Championships in Rome Ga., beginning on Nov. 5.
- The doubles pair of O'Neill and Martinez went 3-0 in doubles at the Martha Thorn Invitational.
