Lady Flames Set for Pair of Matches in Nebraska

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty women's tennis team prepares for its first multi-match road trip this weekend with a neutral-site match against Miami (OH) on Saturday and facing No. 36 Nebraska on Sunday. Saturday's contest against the RedHawks (0-4) is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT and Sunday's matchup with Nebraska (8-1) is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT.

The Lady Flames (3-5) look to rebound from an 0-2 weekend with a 4-1 loss against James Madison last Friday and a 7-0 defeat to Michigan State last Sunday.

Liberty began the 2024 season with seven of eight matches at home, collecting a 3-4 record in Lynchburg. The team's only road game was a 6-1 defeat at Clemson on Jan. 19.

The Lady Flames look to improve on a 2-0 all-time mark against Miami (OH). Their most recent meeting was a 4-2 neutral site victory in East Lansing, Mich. on Feb. 4, 2023. Liberty and Nebraska will be meeting for the first time on Sunday.
