
Liberty Ranked in Softball America, D1Softball.com Top 25 Polls

The Liberty softball team is ranked as highly as No. 20 in national polls this week, following a 5-0 start to the season.
The Lady Flames appeared at No. 20 in the Softball America Top 25 Poll yesterday, holding its spot from Softball America's preseason rankings. Liberty is ranked No. 24 in the D1Softball Top 25, released today.
Liberty is listed second among "others receiving votes" on both the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll and ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA's Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the regular season.
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of National and Local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames went a perfect 5-0 at THE Spring Games, including wins over Power Conference opponents Louisville and Rutgers (twice). Liberty outscored its opponents 32-12 on the weekend, posting a 1.00 ERA and a .331 team batting average.
Liberty opens a busy week tomorrow, taking on UCF at 5 p.m. at UCF Softball Complex. The Lady Flames will then compete in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational, Friday through Sunday in Clearwater, Fla. While there, the Lady Flames will take on Charlotte, No. 12 Alabama, No. 15 Missouri, Wichita State and Auburn.
