
Liberty Falls to Clemson 6-1, Radulova Secures Lone Victory

CLEMSON, S.C. – Yoanna Radulova earned a gritty three-set victory as the lone Lady Flame victor in a 6-1 loss at Clemson on Sunday. Radulova secured a 5-1 record this weekend, including a 3-0 singles mark. Liberty went 1-2 this weekend to open the 2025 season after splitting a home doubleheader with a loss against Elon (4-3) and a sweep of Longwood (4-0) on Friday.
The Tigers (2-0) jumped ahead with a commanding doubles round, securing a pair of 6-0 triumphs on courts two and three. Clemson would roll with five consecutive two-set triumphs, clinching the match-winning fourth point with a 7-5, 6-1 win in the No. 6 singles match.
Radulova, playing in the No. 3 singles match, jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first set against Romana Cisovska. The Tiger fought back to steal the first set 7-5. The foes traded games in the second set with Cisovska, pulling ahead to a 6-5. The Liberty freshman fought off a match point to force a tiebreak and rolled with a 7-1 score to set up a super tiebreak third set. The Bulgaria native jumped ahead to a 5-1 lead, marking a run of 13-2 after facing a match point. Cisovska roared back to earn an 8-5 lead before Radulova answered right back to take the match 5-7, 7-6 (1), 1-0 (8).
Liberty continues to seek its first triumph against an ACC opponent.
