Samford Downs Liberty Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – The Samford Bulldogs pulled away from the Liberty Flames during the middle innings en route to a 10-3 victory Saturday evening at Joe Lee Griffin Field.

With the score tied at 1-1 after three innings, the Bulldogs struck for nine runs over the next four innings to build a 10-2 lead, taking advantage of three errors, on their way to the win.

Shortstop Tanner Marsh drove in Liberty's first two runs with an RBI single and an RBI double.

The Bulldogs' win evens the series at 1-1. Liberty drops to 18-24 on the year. Samford improves to 27-15.
