
Ervi Places 3rd in WildCat Invitational Women’s 1,500

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty's lone entrant in Saturday's WildCat Invitational, Grace Ervi posted a third-place finish in the women's 1,500.
Racing in her hometown at Randolph's WildCat Stadium, Ervi crossed the finish line in 4:59.20, dipping under 5:00 for the second time in her career. The sophomore, who placed third of 28 runners in the event, just missed her personal best of 4:59.18 from 2023.
Ervi continued a strong weekend for the Lady Flames at the 1,500 distance. On Friday at the Virginia Challenge, Katelyn Locker (4:19.04) became just the third Liberty runner ever to post a time faster than 4:20. Meanwhile, Jessica Palisca (season-best 4:34.72) and Ava Gordon (4:36.33) became the fifth and sixth Lady Flames to go under 4:40 this season.
