
Lovato Included on the 2024 CUSA All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty women's tennis' Esther Lovato has been selected to the 2024 Conference USA Women's Tennis All-Academic team, the conference announced Friday.
Lovato receives her first CUSA All-Academic team selection in Liberty's debut season in the conference. Lovato is one of six selections to the 2024 CUSA All-Academic team. Nominees must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and have participated in 75 percent of scheduled matches. Candidates must have at least a sophomore class standing, but redshirt freshmen are eligible if they have completed enough credits.
The Austin, Texas native owns a 3.80 GPA in her MBA program. The fifth-year senior recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in sport management. Lovato is a four-time ITA Scholar Athlete and was selected to the CSC Academic All-District Women's Tennis team in 2023.
Lovato holds the Liberty program record with 118 career singles wins. She leads the Lady Flames with an 11-4 singles record this spring and currently carries a seven-match singles winning streak.
Lovato and Liberty (13-5, 3-0 CUSA) wrap up the regular season on the road, taking on New Mexico State (5-12, 2-2 CUSA) on Saturday.
