LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty women's tennis (1-1) team holds its home opener on Thursday at 9 a.m. against Bellarmine (2-3) before returning Friday to take on Delaware at 1 p.m. Both matches will be from the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center, with Friday's tilt broadcast live on ESPN+.
Both matches were rescheduled to avoid inclement weather throughout the remainder of the weekend.
The Lady Flames are seeking their first victory in a home opener since 2024 and their first under head coach Dash Connell, who is in his second season at the helm.
Liberty looks to extend its perfect record against Bellarmine, currently owning a 5-0 record against the program all-time. The team previously earned a 4-0 sweep against Bellarmine in 2023.
The Lady Flames will be battling Delaware for the second time, but for the first time as conference foes. The Blue Hens joined Conference USA this past Summer. The Lady Flames narrowly pulled out a 4-3 victory over Delaware at home in 2024.
