The Lady Flames (24-16, 13-3 CUSA) pushed their winning streak to four games, while the Blue Raiders fell to 18-25, 5-11 in Conference USA play.

Turning Point
- The Lady Flames broke open a tie game by scoring five runs in the fourth inning. Raigan Barrett was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, giving Liberty the lead. Brooke Roberts' two-run single made it 4-1, before Sierra Kersten (sac fly) and Rachel Roupe (double) added RBI to pad the lead.
- Liberty outhit MTSU 11-3 for the game. The Lady Flames committed two errors, compared to one for the Blue Raiders. The hosts left eight runners on base, while the visitors stranded seven.
- Kaylan Yoder (9-6) continued to shine in her series-opening role, allowing one unearned run on three hits, walking five and striking out seven in six innings. Paige Bachman pitched a 1-2-3 seventh.
- Kamryn Carcich (12-13) drew the loss, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits in three innings of work. Mary Martinez yielded two runs on five hits, walking one and fanning one in four innings pitched.
- Hailey Deter posted her second three-hit game of the season, going 3-for-3 with one run scored. Rachel Roupe batted 2-for-3 with a double and one run scored. Raigan Barrett and Brooke Roberts had two RBI apiece, while KK Madrey scored twice and Sierra Kersten and Megan Fortner both doubled.
- Liberty leads the all-time series against Middle Tennessee in softball 4-3, as the Lady Flames have won the last three meetings.
- Middle Tennessee won the 2023 CUSA Softball Championship before advancing to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional final. MTSU is one of 12 teams on Liberty's schedules who competed in the 2023 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.
- Yoder is 5-1 with a 0.17 ERA in six Conference USA series openers this season.
- Fortner leads all active Lady Flames with 45 career doubles.
- Roupe is now tied with Kelby Allen (2012-16) for 11th in program history with 120 career RBI. She is now 10th in program history with 68 career extra-base hits.
- Fortner scored her 100th career run, becoming the third active Lady Flame with 100 career runs scored, joining Mary Claire Wilson and Rachel Roupe.
- Madrey is one stolen base away from joining the all-time top 10 at Liberty, as she has stolen 41 bases during her time as a Lady Flame.
